Geshe Tsultrim : Managing our Afflictions in the ‘Real World’! A Weekend Retreat Course

25 May @ 9:00 am - 26 May @ 3:30 pm AEST

All the topics being presented by Geshe Tsultrim in this series of monthly weekend retreats have been suggested by the student community of Chenrezig Institute.

This topic, “Managing our afflictions in the ‘real world’”, is intended to be a weekend course that explores the fundamental questions of: What are mental afflictions? What are their causes?  What are their faults? And how do we work with them in our daily lives?

It is said to be incredibly important for us to have knowledge related to these questions and Geshela will support us throughout this weekend intensive to generate this knowledge with his usual skill and good humour.

The root text that Geshela will be using is an excerpt from Lama Tsongkhapa’s Lamrim Chenmo in the section titled “The Origin of Suffering

This retreat weekend will start with Geshela teaching at 9.00am on Saturday morning 25th May.

You can read or download the daily schedule here: Schedule retreat course

Although of course it is more beneficial to attend the entire weekend, students will still be welcome to attend an individual session if that is their routine. A full schedule will be posted here soon.

All sessions will be available in person and on zoom

About our Teacher:

Our resident Tibetan teacher, Geshe Phuntsok Tsultrim is immensely popular for the warm and approachable way in which he presents the teachings and inspires our community. He became a monk at Sera Je Monastery in India, where he was awarded his Geshe degree (the equivalent of a doctorate in Buddhist studies) in 2005. He began teaching at Chenrezig Institute in 2014 after being chosen for our community by Lama Zopa Rinpoche.

Geshe Tsultrim has a warm-hearted, caring and practical approach to teaching Dharma. He has been the resident Geshe at Chenrezig Institute since 2014 and since then, he has taught Dharma both formally in the Gompa, and by the example he sets amongst the community.
