Insight and the Awakening Heart: Becoming a Buddha

19/11/2022 @ 9:00 am - 20/11/2022 @ 4:00 pm AEST

TY for weekend course

About Event:

I truly believe that all human beings have compassion and love and wisdom. It is a
matter of it being recognized and then it has to be developed! Lama Thubten Yeshe
The wisdom that understands the true nature of reality and a compassionate heart come together in the awakened mind of a Buddha.
Through meditation, we clear the way to see things as they are, and wisdom grows. With that insight we see the discontent and dissatisfaction in our own lives, and in the lives those of around us; our compassion grows.
Through the practice of both nonconceptual and reflective meditation, we can deepen our attentive awareness and expand our compassionate approach to relationships with others, ourselves, and life in general. In the world, as it is today, this can only be a good thing.

This will be a meditation retreat weekend with a sprinkling of teachings, discussion and opportunities to air doubts and questions. Although it will be non-residential for some students, we will try to bring everything we do during these two days into our meditation practice.

Suitable for both new and experienced students.
Single-day attendance on Saturday 19 November alone is possible, but attendance on Sunday 20 November requires having attended the first day.
