A commentary on the Bodhisattva Vows – a Weekend Retreat Weekend with Geshe Tsultrim

22 June @ 9:00 am - 23 June @ 3:30 pm AEST

TWO DAYS OF TEACHINGS AND MEDITATIONS WITH GESHE Tsultrim, on the Bodhisattva vows, what they are, and how to maintain them.

At the most recent Kopan Down under retreat in January, Geshe Tsultrim was requested by the student group to provide a commentary on the Bodhisattva Vows he had offered at the end of that course.

Geshela agreed to this request and this commentary was originally scheduled for a weekend in March. Unfortunately, Geshela was unexpectedly away from the centre through this period

We are very happy to be able to reschedule this weekend of commentary on the Bodhisattva Vows with Geshe Tsultrim and hope there is much benefit  for those students who made the initial request, and many others, to receive this precious commentary

This retreat weekend will start with Geshela teaching at 9.00am on Saturday morning 22nd June.

Download the schedule here:

Although of course it is more beneficial to attend the entire weekend, students will still be welcome to attend an individual session if that is their routine. A full schedule will be posted here soon.

All sessions will be available in person and on zoom

About our Teacher:

Our resident Tibetan teacher, Geshe Phuntsok Tsultrim is immensely popular for the warm and approachable way in which he presents the teachings and inspires our community. He became a monk at Sera Je Monastery in India, where he was awarded his Geshe degree (the equivalent of a doctorate in Buddhist studies) in 2005. He began teaching at Chenrezig Institute in 2014 after being chosen for our community by Lama Zopa Rinpoche.

Geshe Tsultrim has a warm-hearted, caring and practical approach to teaching Dharma. He has been the resident Geshe at Chenrezig Institute since 2014 and since then, he has taught Dharma both formally in the Gompa, and by the example he sets amongst the community.

Geshe Tsultrim will be offering refuge on the second day of the retreat, Sunday 23rd June at 1:30pm in place of the scheduled  Q&A session.

If you are interested in attending this ceremony please contact – it will only be possible in person ie not online.

Registration is available in person and online.

The recommended contribution for this weekend is $120.

BUT – you may pay whatever you feel comfortable with starting at only $1

A payment of $60 will just about cover our basic costs, but your $120 contribution will help us to continue to offer these precious teachings to so many – often completely free of charge.

Ordained sangha are always invited to attend our courses free of charge, but are encouraged to please register using their coupon (contact if you haven’t received this coupon).

Registration will be in person or online
